Beautiful ascent to the spectacular Palasinaz lakes, on a farm road and through landscapes and alpine pastures
This is an uphill route towards the spectacular alpine lakes of Palasinaz. It starts in Brusson and arrives in Estoul, to continue on a farm road that you take to the left.
You can also start biking from this point, parking just beyond Estoul. Stop in the village, which is worth a visit and also has a small bike park.

The ascent winds its way through alpine pastures and various high-altitude villages; Chamossière, Les Chavannes, and then, after leaving the path to the Arp hut and crossing the Messeure stream, a few hairpin bends, then the Chavanne alpine pasture and finally the Palasinaz alpine pasture with its lakes. The route also crosses winter cable stations.

The section after the Alpage Palasinaz is a footpath. Moreover, it is frequented in summer by a good number of hikers: you could leave your bike here and continue on foot. In any case, be careful and respect everyone's right to discover the valley!

    Parish Church of St Maurice

The 15th century church of San Maurizio was rebuilt between 1870 and 1873.
The octagonal pyramid-shaped spire of the bell tower by Brusson was rebuilt in 1882, given that the old one had been destroyed by lightening.
The church was designed by the architect Giuseppe Lancia and decorated by the Artari brothers from Verrès.

The parochial church conserves eighteenth century carved, painted and gilded wooden altars, as well as a series of sacred art objects.
Among these, there is a fifteenth century reliquary and a statue of the Pietà in carved and painted wood, which may be dated back to the 16th century. The sculpted pulpit with panels is from the first half of the nineteenth century.
The chancel is a praiseworthy work of art created at the end of that century by Reirosa of Ivrea, while the organ is a Vegezzi-Bossi from 1896. The four side altars date back to the 18th century.

Those who enjoy walking can walk around the entire lake, passing over beautiful grassy areas and through a small stretch of forest. Or they can discover the small wetland area of the 'Goya de Tchmpats' from the wooden walkways and stop at another playground along the way.
